MT5 ACCOUNT HISTORY ANALYZER

MT5 account history analyzer

Turn a MetaTrader 5 account-history export into a structured account review. Backtest Lens separates trading deals from deposits, groups results by symbol and Magic number, and shows which strategies contribute profit and drawdown.

PURPOSE-BUILT ANALYSIS

Separate a mixed account into strategy-level evidence

One MT5 account can contain several EAs and manual trades. The total balance hides their differences; filters reconstruct the contribution of each symbol, direction and Magic number.

01

Deals without cashflow distortion

Deposits and withdrawals are kept out of strategy profit.

02

Magic number and symbols

Separate EAs, instruments and directions sharing the same trading account.

03

Periods and behavior

Compare months, weekdays, entry and exit hours, streaks and drawdown recovery.

REAL HISTORY AND LIVE

MultiFXbot MT5: completed deals connected to current exposure

The public MultiFXbot MT5 page demonstrates how completed-deal history connects with ongoing Balance and Equity snapshots. Deals can be reviewed by instrument, direction and Magic number without confusing realized performance with current floating P/L. The account values continue to refresh, so the example links to the live source instead of freezing figures in this text.

01

Which account operations belong in performance

An MT5 export can contain completed trades, commissions, swaps, deposits, withdrawals and other balance operations. Strategy evaluation should retain the economic costs of trading while excluding cash transfers from profit. Otherwise, a deposit-driven balance increase can be misread as successful EA performance.

  • Completed deals form realized trading P/L.
  • Commissions and swaps belong to trade economics.
  • Deposits and withdrawals remain separate cashflows.
02

How to isolate each EA

Magic number is the primary strategy identifier in MetaTrader account history. Filtering by Magic recalculates metrics for the selected EA. When a number is missing or reused across systems, symbol and direction filters provide additional separation, but the resulting attribution requires more caution.

  • Compare every Magic number with the whole account result.
  • Identify which symbols contribute profit and maximum drawdown.
  • Review streaks and monthly results after applying the filter.
03

When to continue with live monitoring

An HTML history is a snapshot of realized operations at export time. It does not update automatically and cannot reconstruct historical floating Equity. Connect live monitoring when open positions, the Balance–Equity gap and newly completed deals need to be observed without repeated manual exports.

  • Use HTML for a one-time audit of longer history.
  • Use live monitoring for continued Equity observation.
  • Compare ongoing results with saved backtest evidence.
SCOPE AND LIMITS

What this analysis does not prove

  • Reliable EA attribution depends on consistent Magic-number usage.
  • Completed-deal history cannot reconstruct old intratrade floating drawdown.
  • Historical account analysis does not guarantee future strategy performance.

FAQ

Questions before you upload

How is account history different from a backtest?

Account history contains completed account operations and may combine several EAs, manual trading and cashflows.

Are deposits counted as profit?

No. Cash operations are stored separately and excluded from trading performance.

Can I isolate one EA?

Yes, when its deals use a distinct Magic number or another identifiable combination of symbols and directions.

Can the account continue into live monitoring?

Yes. After analyzing history, monitoring can collect Balance, Equity, positions and new deals.
